And rightly so, torquay and Paignton re-launched themselves as the English Riviera in the 1980s, the resorts of Brixham. On a boat trip or even by canoe, all can be explored by bus. Stretching from the edge of Torbay along to the edge of Plymouth, the South Hams is a particularly beautiful area.
